Romney Manor, Basseterre, St, Kitts & Nevis

Hola everyone,

Beautiful day exploring the estate and gardens of Romney Manor in St.Kitts💝Before European settlers came to the island in 1623, there is a lot of evidence stating that Carib Indian Chief Tegreman’s village occupied the area due to petroglyphs found in the estate.

Romney Manor has only had 5 owners up to this date with the first one being Sam Jefferson II, the great, great, great grandfather of our 3rd U.S. president, Thomas Jefferson, who bought the property in 1625.

According to Caribelle Batik St Kitts,

With all Romney Manor’s history, it also brings some beautiful gardens and tales to bring with it, including the Saman Tree that is located in the property. The Saman Tree is over 400 years old and covers 1/2 acre, making it the largest living tree in St.Kitts😊🌴💕isn’t that so beautiful?🌺💝🌱🍋🏝🥑✨

XOXO,

Karina
