Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands)

Hola everyone,

I had a beautiful time exploring Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas with my family😊A few cool things that I learned was that this beautiful island’s capital was founded by the Danish in the 1600's. St.Thomas was a territory owned by Denmark until 1917 when the island became owned by the United States, along with St. John and St.Croix.

Although Denmark owned the island for many years, Danish wasn’t widely spoken in the island and nowadays the main spoken language is English. St.Thomas is a beautiful island, home to an exquisite culture, history, and beaches.

"Word on the street was that the beach at Magens Bay on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands was one of the top beaches in the world. In fact, the claim was that Magens Bay was among the top ten according to National Geographic."

Isn’t that awesome?😃 I fell in love with the islands history and its beauty, a true gem in the Caribbean😊💝🐠🌷✨
