St.Louis Cathedral(Jackson Square, New Orleans, Louisiana)

Hola from the city of NOLA!! :)

It has been a beautiful day being able to explore Jackson Square, where the St.Louis Cathedral resides😊

The St.Louis Cathedral is the known as the oldest continually active Roman Catholic Church in the United States, originally built in 1727 and the Cathedral was dedicated to King Louis IX of France, also known as "The Crusading King".

The architecture of the cathedral is known to have been built Renaissance style and Spanish Colonial style, which makes the cathedral so beautiful and definitely worth visiting.

The original St.Louis Cathedral was actually burned down during the Great Fire of 1794 and was rebuilt. The current structure of the Cathedral was completed in the 1850's and has been featured in many movies ever since😃One of my favorites has to be the Disney Fairytale, The Princess and The Frog, where the Cathedral was used in the original movie where Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen got married🙈😊💞💋🌷👒Isn't that so cute?

XOXO,

Karina <3
